Here at Uprising Glassware, our love for nature isn’t just talk – it’s action. That’s why for every glass we sell, we send 5% of the sale price (not just the profits) to organisations who are working hard to protect the environment.
We believe the environment should come first, that’s why we choose to contribute revenue, not profits. Whether we make money or not, our conservation partners get paid. 1% For The Planet is a great start, but we’re hoping to make a much bigger impact.
We hate waste as much as you do, so we’ve made the packaging super reusable. Hold onto the sturdy tube your glass comes in. It’s a great way to keep your favourite new glass safe if you want to bring it along to a picnic, or sunrise hike. They also make a funky desk organiser, or storage for cocktail garnishes – get creative and have fun with it!
We’re super excited to be working with the Tasmanian Land Conservancy (TLC) as our founding eco-partner. These folks are amazing at safeguarding Lutruwita/Tasmania’s wild and wonderful places, so we’re delighted to help fund their programs. And it’s not just about money – we roll up our sleeves, helping with hands-on conservation work in their reserves all around the island.
TLC is a not-for-profit, apolitical, science and community based organisatison that raises funds from the public to protect irreplaceable sites and rare ecosystems by buying and managaing private land in Lutruwita/Tasmania.
By combining community empowerment with cutting edge science, TLC supports a network of reserves around the state, enabling nature to thrive, in perpetuity. So, who’s behind Uprising Glassware? That’s our founder, Kurt – a big-time nature nerd who turned his passion into our reality. After 6 years soaking up the majestic peaks of The Canadian Rockies, he came back to Aus with a dream – to create something that connects folks to nature and helps preserve it too. And that’s how we started in 2023.
What’s on the horizon for us? We’re dreaming big – more local conservation partnerships and stepping up to become carbon neutral. We’re always working on new designs, so if there’s a mountain, island, waterfall, or any other epic landmark you’d love to see preserved with glass, please let us know.
