We're Uprising Glassware. The landscapes, landmarks and wildlife hand-pressed into the base of every glass are the whole reason we exist, so every sale reinvests into conservation efforts that protect them.
We go looking for initiatives doing amazing work for the wild places and wildlife behind our designs, from the coastlines and mountains we sculpt to creatures like the humpback whale and the platypus. People on the ground, keeping these places wild for future generations: that's who your purchase helps back.
How we give back
We care about the places we put on every glass. As 1% for the Planet members, we reinvest into conservation efforts that protect the landscapes, wildlife, and wild places that inspire our collections.
Be part of the story
Every glass in our collection is a piece of a larger story: Australia's breathtaking beauty. Join our mission to protect the planet, one beautiful glass at a time.
How we tread
Founder · Our story
That's our founder, Kurt: a big-time nature nerd who turned his passion into our reality. After six years soaking up the majestic peaks of the Canadian Rockies, he came back to Australia with a dream: to create something that connects folks to nature and helps preserve it too.
Uprising started in Hobart, Lutruwita/Tasmania in 2023 with a handful of Tasmanian designs and a simple idea: a glass could be more than a glass. Get the shape of a place just right, press it in 3D into the base, and suddenly your favourite glass holds Wulinantikala/Cradle Mountain, the boulders of Larapuna, or a platypus mid-paddle. We call them functional sculptures, and people connected with them faster than we ever expected.
Three years on, you'll find our glasses in over 85 retail and gift stores around Australia, in airport stores in Hobart, Launceston and Sydney, and on the shelves of some of the country's favourite museums and galleries. The range has grown from a few Tasmanian originals into collections celebrating Australian icons and native wildlife, and every new design is still sketched and obsessed over right here in Tasmania.
And we're just getting warmed up. There are new designs in the works, new places to capture, and new wild corners to help protect. Wherever we go next, the deal stays the same: the wild inspires the glass, and the glass gives back to the wild.
