About The Glass

The saltwater crocodile is the largest living reptile on Earth, an ambush predator that has changed little in millions of years. It lurks just below the surface of the rivers and estuaries of northern Australia, still and patient, then strikes with a speed that belies its size. Few animals carry the same mix of power and menace.

This twin set captures that. Two Old Fashioned glasses, each with the crocodile hand-pressed in 3D into the base, designed as a pair: in one the croc lurks in the depths, in the other it rises to the surface. Set them side by side and the predator comes alive.

At 300ml each, they work beautifully for spirits neat, short cocktails, or a daily water glass with a hidden predator at the bottom of every pour.

Made to share. Pour two drinks, find someone to reminisce with about sightings and near-misses, and raise a glass to the apex of the north.

1% FOR THE PLANET

Wildlife Collection

The world's largest reptile, captured in glass.

The saltwater crocodile is the largest reptile alive, and one of the oldest survivors on the planet. The biggest males stretch beyond six metres and weigh more than a tonne. They have outlasted the dinosaurs, barely changing across millions of years, perfecting a single brutal strategy: wait, unseen, then strike.

Across the rivers, estuaries, and coastlines of northern Australia, the saltie rules. It floats low in the water with only its eyes above the surface, indistinguishable from a drifting log, then explodes into motion when prey comes close. It is a creature built entirely around patience and power, and it commands a respect that anyone who has spent time in croc country knows in their bones.

For all its menace, the saltwater crocodile is a conservation success story. Hunted close to extinction last century, careful protection has brought the population back across the Top End, a reminder that even the most feared animals are worth saving.

We made this twin set to honour that ancient predator. The two glasses tell one story between them, the croc rising from the deep as they sit side by side. A small daily reminder of the still water, the watching eyes, and the oldest ambush in the country. Whether you have stood on a riverbank in the north or only ever seen one in a photograph, every pour brings a little of that wild edge back into your hands.

So pour two drinks, find someone to share them with, and raise a glass to the apex of the north.

Frequently Asked
Questions

What are the glasses made from?

Our glasses are made from borosilicate glass, used in Pyrex and ovenware. It's stronger, lighter, and more thermally resistant than standard glass. It can handle daily use, hot or cold drinks, and the rattle of a dishwasher, while keeping the clarity of fine crystal. Avoid pouring boiling water directly into them, as the glass will become very hot.

Are the glasses dishwasher safe?

Absolutely! Every glass in our range is built for daily use and dishwasher safe on the top rack. They stay clear and residue-free over time. The one exception is the Bay of Fires Tallboy, which should be hand washed to protect the coloured resin in the base.

How durable are the glasses?

Borosilicate is one of the most durable glass materials available and withstands everyday use, but no glass is unbreakable, especially on hard surfaces like concrete tiles. Normal handling, washing, and shipping rarely cause breakages.

How do you get the 3D design into the glass?

Each design is hand-pressed into the base. After shaping, the glass is reheated and carefully pressed by hand onto a graphite mould in the shape of the 3D design, forming a raised silhouette of the icon. Once the glass cools, you’re left with a one-of-a-kind glass. Because every piece is pressed by hand, no two are ever exactly alike, so yours carries its own small story of the place it came from.

Do you offer corporate or wholesale orders?

Yes. We work with gift shops, galleries, national park visitor centres, and corporate event organisers across Australia. Custom branding is available and minimum order quantities apply. Visit our wholesale page for full details on pricing, MOQs, and customisation options, or get in touch directly to talk through your brief.
